Overview
This closure uses an internal socket instead of an external wrench hex and includes a flange and sealing ring. It addresses a distinct access and port-face requirement, not merely another size of plug.
Construction and interfaces
The original product picture shows three size examples with male threads, hex sockets, flanges and dark sealing rings. Seal composition cannot be determined from its color.
Selection
Match the metric, BSPP, BSPT, NPT or drawing-specific thread to the port and confirm the sealing face, groove, flange diameter and hex-tool clearance before ordering.
Configuration options
Thread, flange diameter, head height, socket depth, seal groove, material, marking and inspection are specified to the drawing. Select elastomer compound against the fluid and conditions.
Application limits
A visible O-ring does not establish leak tightness or working pressure. Groove compression, mating face, torque, coolant, temperature and the full joint must be verified together.
