Overview
The solid plug closes an unused female connection point in a manifold, valve or pipe assembly. An external hex permits conventional wrench installation where surrounding clearance is available.
Construction and interfaces
The source photograph shows several sizes of the same male-threaded external-hex form. It does not represent one ordered size or identify a particular alloy grade for every pictured plug.
Selection
Select the exact NPT, BSPT, BSPP, metric or drawing-specific thread with the receiving-port standard. Parallel and tapered threads do not share one universal sealing method.
Configuration options
Engagement length, hex across-flats, material and seal arrangement are drawing-defined. Depending on port design, the maker discusses sealant, gasket, O-ring or face seal as alternatives.
Application limits
No working-pressure value is established for this plug alone. The complete joint rating depends on thread, seal, material, wall section, fluid, temperature and installation torque.
