Reference — AODSON pictured weld-on saddle threaded outlet type
| Parameter | Documented value / configuration |
|---|---|
| Branch outlet construction | Machined threaded outlet with a concave saddle base matched to the host pipe outside diameterConditions: scope: Drawing-defined branch component; installed weld and assembly determine pressure capability |
| Thread options | Female internal or male external thread; thread form, size, bore and wall are drawing-controlledConditions: scope: NPT, BSP, BSPT, metric and UN are options, not all shown in one photograph |
| Application role | Branch, service or instrument connection on pipes and fabricated manifoldsConditions: scope: Application category only; coolant suitability and weld acceptance need project confirmation |
| Drawing selected material options | Stainless steel grade is selected to the drawing and service; the maker names 304 and 316 as common options for evaluation, not a grade verified for the pictured partConditions: scope: Drawing-selected options only; no assumed coolant approval or finished-line pressure rating |

Overview
This small branch boss adds a threaded service, instrument or takeoff port to a fabricated pipe or manifold. Its concave saddle is machined for the host pipe rather than a flat mounting surface.
Construction and interfaces
The official photos show standalone metal outlets with curved bases and internal or external thread forms. The page describes stainless material and machining to an approved drawing, not a single stocked size.
Selection
Match the saddle radius to host pipe OD and define port thread, bore, wall, branch angle and weld access. The welded parent line and completed assembly need their own inspection basis.
Configuration options
Female or male threads, several named thread systems, material grade, bore, wall and finish are stated as drawing choices. No one image proves all option combinations or a precise material grade.
Application limits
The outlet alone has no published complete-line pressure rating. Weld procedure, parent material, connection seal and testing control the installed performance and must be checked for coolant use.
